Hi, everyone! I’m Michael Rosenkranz, middays (noon to 5:00 PM) on Superstar Country B103, and I appreciate you checking out my page!

I was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, and have lived in Clarkston, Michigan for the past 14 years. I am a triplet and have two brothers, Jason and Erik! Yes, there are three of us! I began my broadcasting journey at Clarkston High School. As a sophomore, I started in the CSMTech (Clarkston Science, Mathematics, and Technology) program, believing I would follow my brothers into engineering. However, to make a long story short, engineering was not the path for me.

After dropping out of CSMTech, I went through an existential crisis, unsure of my future. One night, I discovered a class called “Media Production,” and my path became clear.

I quickly learned to run a camera and edit video, which led to filming events at Clarkston High School from 2018 until my graduation in 2021. In December 2021, I became the play-by-play voice of Clarkston Athletics at Independence Television, covering football, basketball, baseball, and lacrosse.

I’ve called games at Michigan Stadium (“The Big House”) and Wayne State University and served as the public address announcer for Clarkston boys’ and girls’ varsity lacrosse and the Powderpuff football game. I’m proud to be a devoted Clarkston sports fan!

In addition to calling Clarkston sports, I worked as a Production Assistant III for Independence Television, which was named Station of the Year in 2024! My journey with them began in high school when I started as an intern in 2019. Since then, I have taken on many roles. I hosted Michigan Moment, an award-winning monthly program that explores historical topics related to the Great Lakes State. I also hosted various community events and conducted on-site interviews to create videos covering those events. Additionally, I served as a camp counselor at ITV’s Summer Media Camp, where my colleagues and I taught kids how to operate a camera, edit footage, and mentored them throughout the three-day camp.

I am proud to be a four-time finalist and student award winner in the Philo Festival of Media Arts, which includes Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. To say I had many opportunities at ITV is an understatement, and I am forever grateful for my time there.

My journey through college began in August 2023 when I enrolled at Oakland Community College. I was fortunate to commute from home to various OCC campuses, primarily the Auburn Hills, Orchard Ridge, and Royal Oak locations. I graduated from OCC in 2023 with an Associate of Arts degree in Cinematic Arts.

After transferring from OCC, I graduated from Central Michigan University in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts and a minor in Sport Management. My time at CMU provided invaluable experiences, including hosting Sports Central, a weekly program on MHTV, and serving as a play-by-play announcer for select basketball, baseball, and softball games. I was honored to be recognized by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters for my play-by-play work at CMU. Traveling with the teams created unforgettable memories. I also co-hosted “Card Guys: Detroit Sports Talk,” an award-winning radio program where we discussed Detroit sports and more. As a diehard Detroit sports fan, I support all four major teams! I’ve even called a high school football game from Kelly/Shorts Stadium, CMU’s on-campus football stadium, which is also the largest on-campus stadium in the Mid-American Conference!

I want to mention that I also work for a production company called HappyFt Productions, which a friend from high school owns. We specialize in live-streaming Rubik’s Cube competitions—believe it or not, it’s a real thing! I joined the company in July 2023 and have taken on several roles, including play-by-play broadcaster, graphics operator, and technical director. Additionally, I work as a voiceover artist for them, having voiced event trailers and hype videos and have hosted and made guest appearances on the +3 and Cubecast podcasts.

See? I told you I wore a lot of different hats!

My hobbies include listening to and playing music, bowling, going to concerts, and doing anything and everything with sports!

I am honored to begin my career here in Sisseton, South Dakota, and I couldn’t be more excited to serve this community!
